Keeping up the journal

I've decided to keep this page hidden for a while longer. The little voice in the head got to me. But I'm going to keep journaling here. I think my art needs some space to breathe. A lot of my artistic ideas and thoughts end up never being able to make it out of the head.. birthplace and the coffin all wrapped up in a need little bundle together. That stops here and now.

So this one here is about the ideas and projects in the diary at the moment.

I started this massive painting this season. Massive, blue background and the figure of a girl - almost floating. It's been one of my biggest struggles. I can't seem to reach an understanding with the canvas. The face doesn't seem right, the background, the application - nothing is quite what I wanted it to be in my head so I want to tackle that piece at some point. Hopefully, I don't leave it too long.

The studio still needs unpacking though, so I'm clearly procrastinating a little bit. Tomorrow's plan is the studio. Get it unpacked and ready. The room is a little bit tiny but I got to make it work. I think it's a better idea to have a cozier space, just like my first one. I have an image in my head about where everything is going to go, but I do worry that it's going to burst out of the room a little bit, and I'm all for it.

Finally, I have another project from TJ. I don't know if I'm just stringing Chris along, but he seems to know my art style and still wants me to give it a go anyway. It's just something very different from the kind of stuff I'm used to painting. It's about 5 digital pieces - 1 for each year the company has been around. He's yet to send me some material about it, but from what I've heard, it's going to be a challenge - and I feel like I could use one. Deadline and challenges do get me going.

I'll check back in tomorrow and hopefully I'll be writing the next blog from the new studio where I'm supposed to have an art lesson with Illara this saturday.

But for now, Sayonara.
